Arwin
Humanity has never known a better resource than Arwin. Not only is Arwin the ultimate provider of life sustaining resources, it’s also the center of a new kind of society whose existence pushes the boundaries of what it means to be a human. It has brought in an age of prosperity; an age where people can be themselves and live the exact life they want to live. Arwin is thought of as a fully trustworthy companion, whose sincerity has put hush to many synyster fears. And because the whole system relies on power from the vast inner-planetary veins of the hyper energizing mineral Luminite, it’s a resource that can only be possible on Lumin, for which humanity is usually very grateful.
Arwin, or “Autonomous Resource Warding Intelligence Network” is a self-owned, completely decentralized quantum neural network. Its main objectives are to create and equally distribute all resources necessary for human life (including water, food, shelter, health, etc.), maintain a social system of trust and transparency through verification, provide physical/mental health services, and act as an intelligent database for all known knowledge. It is the largest known database of human knowledge in the galaxy. To carry out its tasks in the physical world, Arwin self builds and manages a fleet of over 150,000 autonomous machines, known as Automs. Automs come in many variations and are used for a wide variety of tasks. They can mine, farm, build, fix, or transport. They can also perform various social services such as emergency response, law enforcement, medical and mental health services, and much more.
Before being brought online, many feared that Arwin could become too powerful over the people of Lumin. Thus, the Contract of Rights, which protects people and ensures they hold the power in society, was created and hard coded into the system. If Arwin in any way abuses these rights, the people can act on their ability to instantly terminate it. To make sure that Arwin adheres to the contract, every bit of data that it generates, including the actions of the Automs, intelligent calculations, and much more, is monitored by SHIELD, the decentralized human network that overviews and verifies Arwin’s commitment to the contract. Since coming online in 2151, there have never been any major incidents or conflicts between Arwin and the people that have arisen, which has led to widespread trust and regard for the intelligent Neural Network.
Being that Arwin’s #1 goal is to produce and provide all of the resources necessary for human survival, it has brought upon a new era of humanity where people have the ultimate freedom of will to spend their life pursuing whatever they wish to pursue, rather than spending most of their time obtaining the things they need to simply survive. With this new era of human existence that has been achieved, people often refer to the age of Arwin as a New Dawn of humanity.
