The Branch Impact Crater
Forged out of chaos, and refined through wickedness, the Branch Impact Crater is a dark, sinister land where the world has gone completely wrong. Blackened clouds reign overhead, as blood red dusty soil vibrantly screams through the harsh shadows of the jagged canyon walls that suffocatingly surround. Petrified trees, remnants of a deoxygenated era of mega fires, glisten as if a shard of red stained glass was lit from within. Trees, with ultra white leaves that provide a bursting, on demand flame to anyone brave enough to venture in between the twists of the canyon walls, creep high above the rocky desert like ground. Vicious creatures terrorize the already ravaged lands, as if desperately clinging on in survival mode.
But for all the unnaturally twisted creations of a natural world gone completely wrong, a new layer of prevailing electric green life regains the wonderous beauty previously held by the land. Once a vibrantly lush, soul calming plantland whose beauty could only be rivaled by the galaxy renowned Moonlight Ridge; hell on Lumin was unleashed with the impact of the Branch Meteor. Like a crazed scientist mixing chemical compounds at random in a mad display of experimentation, the still developing natural world took a completely unorthodox turn in geology and chemistry.
Highly charged Luminite, natures complex energy storing mineral, disastrously met with the perfectly metalized strands of the flame inducing hyburnum root; creating several thousand years of hell rivaling destruction. Of all the beautiful regrowth that has re-consumed this once tumultuous landscape, a tinge of wickedness is never far from sight. Science evading Darkstones, whose psychology manipulating abilities have given rise to voodoo reminiscent cults, inconspicuously hide amongst their life enhancing counterparts.
Although not as popular amongst travelers as many parts of Lumin, the Branch Impact Crater appeals to the thrill seekers, those with a dark curiosity, and those who feel a comfort in the strange and wicked.
